The magician
If I had to identify the least spiritual moment of the week, it would probably be this morning—although, on second thought, there isn’t a single workday that can feel magical at 8:40.
I’m making nice progress with the cards—though given that I’m supposed to be finished by now, that doesn’t mean much. Still, I have a connection with almost all of them; there are maybe four I have never drawn. That feels weird, both statistically and spiritually.
But I won’t linger on that now, because I want to talk about the Magician, with whom I’ve rarely met. It’s time to take a closer look, though, because doubts and confusion are still poisoning my mind. There’s no particular reason for the inner turmoil—it’s just the usual: sometimes the ground shifts beneath me.
Anyway—back to the Fool, who (once again) sets off without the faintest idea of what they are getting themselves into. Who is not? After that first sparkle of spontaneity, s/he begins to list their options and resources.
We can’t drift forever; sooner or later, our desires start pulling us in a direction, and one day, suddenly, the goal comes clear. The Magician assures that we already have everything we need to reach it. He holds mastery over the four elements, the four suits of Tarot—laid out before him in physical form on the table: the Cup (water—spirituality, emotions), the Sword (air—intellect, clarity), the Pentacles (earth—material reality, security), and the Wand (fire—will, drive). Only these things are needed (and provided) to manifest our dreams and make them a reality. The possibilities are limitless—the infinity symbol above his head makes that clear—and yet we keep forgetting it. I should probably draw this card more often, though it seems other lessons are more urgent in my case.
The symbols on the card remain true to the traditional sources: the infinity sign suggests divinity; the white robe stands for clarity of mind; the red cloak for knowledge and power; the white lilies for purity, peace, and truth. The Magician points his baton toward heaven and with his other hand points to the earth—this gesture is the representation of the philosophy "As Above, So Below" bridging the spiritual and the material realms, and reminding us that what is within us is reflected out. We have the power to shape reality as we wish.
This card marks a time when, by shutting out distractions and acting with inner conviction and awareness, we take an active role in changing our circumstances. Of course, the foundation of magic is practice—the steady, disciplined repetition of the ritual, and unwavering belief in it.
You can do it. Let that be today’s message—especially for those (us) whose momentum tends to fade by the middle of the week. :-D

Ha időben be kéne határolnom, hogy a hét melyik pillanatát gondolom a legkevésbé spirituálisnak, akkor nagy valószínűséggel a ma reggelt választanám, bár jobban belegondolva nincs olyan munkanap, ami 8.40-kor el tudna varázsolni.
Szépen haladok a kártyákkal, bár annak függvényében, hogy készen kéne lennem velük, ennek a megállapításnak nincs értelme. De már mindegyikkel van közös történetem, talán négy kártya maradt, amit nem húztam soha. Ez azért elgondolkodtató statisztikailag és spirituálisan is.
De nem most fogok merengeni rajta, mert a Mágusról akarok mesélni, akivel ritkán futunk össze. De ideje ráhangolódni, mert továbbra is sok kétség gyötör. Nincs különösebb okom vergődni, csak a szokásos: néha kiszalad alólam a talaj.
Nnnna, de fókuszáljunk a Bolondra, aki (ismét) úgy indul útnak, hogy fogalma sincs, mire vállalkozik (ki nem? :-D), a kezdeti spontaneitás után elkezdi felmérni a lehetőségeit és erőforrásait.
Nem lehet sokáig sodródni, egy idő után a vágyak valami felé húzzák, és egy nap hirtelen kristálytisztán látja a célt. A mágus arról biztosít, hogy mindene meg van a cél eléréséhez: ugyanúgy uralja a négy elemet – amik tárgyi formában előtte fekszenek – mint ő: a Kehely (víz – spiritualitás, érzelmek), a Kard (levegő – értelem, intelligencia), az Érme (föld – materiális javak, biztonság) és a Bot (tűz – akarat, hajtóerő) a tarot négy szimbólumát és egyben a négy elemet testesítik meg. A lehetőségek határtalanok – mutatja a végtelen jel a feje fölött – mégis, ezt időről időre lefelejtjük. Nem ártana többször húznom ezt a kártyát, de az én esetemben úgy tűnik, más feladatok sürgősebbek.
A kártya szimbólumai itt sem térnek el a klasszikus forrásoktól: a Mágus feje fölött lévő végtelen jel az isteni szándékot mutatja, a fehér ruha az elme tisztaságát, a vörös köpeny erőt és tudást, a fehér liliomok tisztaságot, békét, igazságot jelölik.
A Mágus pálcájával az égre mutat, a másik kezével a földre, ezzel a mozdulattal köti össze a spirituális és materiális világot, egyben azt is sugallja, hogy ami odafent van, az van idelent is, és ami benned van, az van kívül is. Csak rajtad áll, hogyan formálod a valóságot. Azt az időszakot jelzi, amikor, a zavaró tényezőket kizárva, belső meggyőződéssel és tudatossággal aktív szereped van a dolgok megváltoztatásában. Persze a varázslás alapfeltétele a gyakorlás, a szertartás kitartó, következetes ismétlése és a maximális hit benne.
